
Many people struggle with diets, and the diets that they follow sap them of energy. This makes it hard for people to lose weight and leads to mistakes or to eating to large a portion even if they think they are eating healthily. 1. Eat smaller portions more slowly- Most people eat too much too fast. This is not a good thing because it means that the brain does not have time to register exactly when you are full. To be able to better ascertain how much you need to eat, it would be better to chew your food more often before you swallow. This will slow down your eating and you will feel fuller eating less food.
2. Drink water before eating if you are hungry- Many people confuse hunger with thirst, so instead of drinking water they may eat food. As such, if you are hungry, you should drink water first. This may stop some of the hunger as you may actually have been thirsty instead.
3. Don’t drink too much whilst eating- Drinking too much whilst eating inhibits stomach acids and digestive juices. This means that they cannot function effectively and tell you when you are full. As such you may eat more than needed.
4. Don’t eat too late at night- The body needs a fasting period to help ensure the effective working of your metabolism. You should not eat late at night and you should eat breakfast soon after getting up. This will give you the energy boost you need to make it through the day.
5. Eat according to the food pyramid- The food pyramid is a great description of the way that you should eat. Eat more vegetables and grains, and much less fatty foods.
If you follow these tips, you should feel more energetic and find it much easier to lose weight.
